I joined the climate movement after reading The Overstory by Richard Powers and seeing how climate change was affecting communities around the world and in New York.

Climate activism to me is about overcoming differences for the sake of a common love and fear for our homes and communities.

In New York, we need to reconfigure our way of life to be more efficient and less wasteful. We need to focus on long-term sustainability rather than short-term comforts.
